Review: Veil Watermelon Vodka
Veil Watermelon Vodka was recently released. It is one of 26 flavored vodkas made by Distiller Sales in Princeton Minnesota. This brand can be found at Total Wine and More. If you have been to a Total Wine and More store you may have noticed Veil and several other brands also produced by Distiller Sales including Decadent, Truestone, Drake, Luxus, Starr Blu, Ice Cap, and Red Medal Vaatka. Veil Watermelon is made from premium grains and pristine water. The vodka base is distilled five times and charcoal filtered. Watermelon flavor is added before bottling at 70 proof. Read more 
Review: Three Olives Fresh Watermelon Vodka
Three Olives Fresh Watermelon Vodka was just released along with their other new flavor, Cucumber Lime. At last count Three Olives had 32 flavors in their lineup. It is unclear as to how many are still made as their website no longer displays their available offerings. Three Olives Fresh Watermelon Vodka is made from English winter wheat and demineralized water from Lake Vyrnmy. It is distilled four times and triple filtered. The vodka base is shipped to Lawrenceburg Indiana where natural flavors and certified color are added. This is not Three Olives first watermelon flavored vodka as they released one in 2006. That version was made with imitation watermelon flavor. Read more
Review: Skyy Barcraft Watermelon Fresca Vodka
Skyy Barcraft Watermelon Fresca is one of three new flavored vodka’s just released by Skyy under their new Barcraft line. The other two flavors are Margarita Lime, and White Sangria. The Barcraft line of vodka’s are designed to be mixed with a single ingredient to create bar quality cocktails at home. It is made with grain distilled in four column stills in Pekin Illinois, and triple filtered through California limestone. It is then delivered by railcar to San Jose California where it is blended with water filtered through reverse osmosis. Natural flavors are added before bottling at 60 proof. Read more

Smirnoff Sours Watermelon vodka was just introduced with a Green Apple, and a Fruit Punch flavor as part of their just launched Sours line of vodka. For those keeping score at home, Smirnoff now offers 42 vodka flavors. All of these flavors start with their Recipe 21 vodka as a base. It is made with premium grain which is triple distilled and filtered ten times before natural flavors and certified colors are added. Read more

While it is ten years old, nothing screams Forth of July more than watermelon, except maybe Hot Dogs and I’m not going to be reviewing a Hot Dog flavored vodka anytime soon. It is made in the US with premium grain spirits and natural watermelon flavors and it is bottled at 35% alcohol. It is one of 37 different flavors of Smirnoff vodka currently available. Read more

Three Olives Watermelon vodka was introduced in 2006. It is shown here with their newly designed bottle. It is made with vodka distilled in England with English winter wheat and water from Lake Vyrnmy in Wales. It is quadruple distilled and triple filtered through charcoal. Imitation flavor is added in Lawrenceburg Indiana where it is bottled at 35% alcohol. Review: UV Salty Watermelon Vodka
UV Salty Watermelon vodka was introduced by Phillips Distilling along with their Peach flavored vodka in May of 2013 as their 18th and 19th flavors. It is made in Princeton Minnesota with their yellow corn based vodka and bottled at 30% alcohol. With water representing 91% of a watermelons weight, salt has been used by many as a way of bringing out more of the natural sweetness by creating a salty sweet contrast. UV Salty Watermelon is made with natural flavors. The bright pink color it pours to is not. Read more
